YOU NEED INSTRUCTION, NOT SYMPATHY.

His mother saith unto the servants,“whatsoever he saith unto you, do it” - John 2:5 The pity of men have never delivered victory in any situation. It only brings about temporary relief. Our scriptural text  is extracted from the story of Jesus and his mother at the marriage ceremony at Cana. You know the embarrassment experienced to be under such situation. At the middle of the wedding, they ran out of wine needed to entertain their guests. Of course you know the human nature and its tendencies to mock people in their moment of distress. I believe people started murmuring and complaining, saying things like, “but if they did not have enough money, why did they invite us here, knowing they do not have what it takes to entertain us?”  I wonder why they did not get money and send someone to go buy them more cartons of wine but rather resorted for a miracle instead. The bible informs us that they told Mary, the mother of Jesus about the situation and she did not waste time sympathizing

SET NEW STANDARDS.

I am about to do something new. See I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a path way through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 Settling for mediocrity and old ways of doing things will never make you see a need to set new standards. Many visions get stalled in their pursuit because of their inability to embrace new standards. When the standard is low, the result will be low; and when it is high, the result will be great. Do not complain about the outcome when you are not ready to raise the standard higher. You can be treated better if you can raise a better standard. It is a season of new things and you are stepping into it in Jesus name. Set up your game. Increase your value by restructuring the way you run you daily routine, the way you approach issues and the way you relate with others. Allow the word of God to work in you, read something new, get exposure, change your circle of association especially when they are not heading

BE ON THE ALERT!

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8) When you lack caution and sensitivity, destiny can be entrapped. Life is not a playground and as such, carelessness must never be entertained. Understand that you have an enemy. I am talking about an adversary you cannot see. Satan is not just the adversary, but Apostle Peter in our scriptural text makes us to see that Satan is "YOUR ADVERSARY"! you should take that personally. Satan often disguise himself as an angel of light and pretends to be an ally for your good (2 Corinthians 11:14). For example: He deceived Eve to eat the fruit. Genesis 3:1-7 He incited King David to take another man's wife and later to proudly count his people (2 Samuel 11:1, 1 Chronicle 2:1). He moved Ananias and Sapphira to lie (Acts 5:3). Entered into Judas to betray Jesus. All through the Bible we see the deceptive scheme of Satan in operatin

WHAT ARE YOU LIVING FOR?

Before I formed you in the womb i knew you, before you were born i set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5) Beloved, life has a beginning and life has an end. Our time here on earth is limited. No matter the years given to you here on earth, it will definitely come to an end someday. Adam lived 930 years, Seth lived 912 years, Mahalel lived 895 years etc. No matter the number of years they lived, they died someday. Better to live with eternity in view than focusing only on time. Life was given for a purpose. it is quite unfortunate that many are alive but have not discovered the purpose for their existence. so many people believe that they were given life to chase money, that is why the love of money has over-shadowed them. just like car doesn't give itself pleasure, but it's owner, so is every human made for God's pleasure. Revelation 4:11 says, ".....for thou hast created all things, and for thy PLEASURE they are and were cre

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

The word of the LORD came to me, what do you see Jeremiah? "I see branch of an almond tree" I replied. (Jeremiah 1:11) You are a reflection of what you see daily. You may not have control over what your eyes look at, but what you see is your choice. Focus your mind to see what God wants you to see in every situation you find yourself. The reason many are limited in life is because they have not mastered God's principles of breakthrough. Often times, God will package great opportunities in challenges, so the problem many face is that they keep looking at the challenges and never see the opportunities. In 1 Samuel 17:26, David asked the men standing near him, "what will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God? You see, others were looking at the giant and the problem. David saw an opportunity to get favour from the king. You can be l
