One thing we must never do is to fear punishment or death, although some Christians elsewhere in the world are killed for their faith. From the scriptural text, we noticed that Peter and John were threatened for proclaiming the gospel, but here is their response in Acts 4:20; "Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than Him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard". (NLT) Our goal as believers is to become unshakable in our faith. Peter and John didn't flinch from their responsibility to proclaim salvation in Jesus name even in the face of imprisonment and threats. RICHES ARE YOURS. And Abram was very rich in cattle, silver, and in gold. (Genesis 13:2) Prior to this, Abram had to step out in obedience to the voice of God without having a clue of what the outcome was going to look like. We see this in Genesis 12:1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee. Ignorance has made many to shun the way of righteousness, they have replaced the fear of God and obedience to God with craftiness, lies and diabolic means in order to acquire riches. Acquiring riches through this later means leads to premature death and sorrow. Jeremiah 17:11 says, like a partridge that hatched eggs it did not lay, are those who gain riches by unjust means. When their lives are half gone, their riches will prove to be fools. Don't follow the way of deceit, so you don't end up this way at the end.
