DON'T BE AFRAID OF THEIR THREAT

But that it spreads no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. Acts 4:17

There are people who live relatively free from persecution even though they may have experienced some mockery, ridicule or ostracism because of their beliefs. One thing we must never do is to fear punishment or death, although some Christians elsewhere in the world are killed for their faith. From the scriptural text, we noticed that Peter and John were threatened for proclaiming the gospel, but here is their response in Acts 4:20; "Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than Him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard". (NLT)

Our goal as believers is to become unshakable in our faith. Peter and John didn't flinch from their responsibility to proclaim salvation in Jesus name even in the face of imprisonment and threats. Yet, in reading this account, we may wonder how we could ever endure persecution and not give up. The truth is that by ourselves we can't do it, but we are never alone. When we stand for our convictions, the Holy Spirit is always there to give us the physical, spiritual, mental and moral strength to stand firm when we are tested and tried. Refuse to be afraid. In that office stand for righteousness, in that organization, school, in your family, stand for truth. No matter the persecution and threats, never compromise your faith. The Lord will empower you today to stand for that which is upright in Jesus name.

THE POWER OF FASTING AND PRAYER 2 DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE!

"But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting". You may not know what the future holds and that is the more reason why you should hold unto the one who holds the future. God knows what lies ahead of us this year and as we connect with him through prayer and fasting he empowers us to overcome, prevail and win over every battle, challenges and attacks of the enemy that may come our way. From the Scripture above tells us about the response of Jesus to his disciples when they were faced with an impossible situation that has to do with a man whose son was sick. The disciples tried all they could but their efforts to heal the young man was not fruitful. When Jesus showed up, the seemingly impossible situation became possible. GODS' PROMISES

The Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. (Genesis 21:1-2) Understand that our God is a Covenant Keeping God. Whatever God says He will do, that, He will surely do. He has the capacity and capability to do it. Jesus was speaking to His disciples and said; “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible”. (Mark 10:27). Whatever promise God has for you in His word, He is able to bring it to pass. But the things that bring about the delays are; unbelief, doubt, fear, and sin (Mark 11:23). Genesis 1:28 NLT The first blessing that was released on man is the blessing of fruitfulness. What does it mean to be fruitful. Fruitfulness is the empowerment to bear fruits. Another word for fruitfulness is to be productive; to generate results; to prosper. God planted man on earth as a seed, expected man to bear fruits. When a man is barren, his prayer can be hindered. Why? Because man was designed to bear fruits in as much you're not bearing fruit your prayer can be hindered. You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that my Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. ( John 15:16).
