YOU ARE GOD'S RESIDENCE

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

1 Corinthians 6:19 says: do you not know that your body is the temple, the very Sanctuary  of the Holy Spirit who lives within you, whom you have received (as a gift) from God? You are not your own.
From the above scriptures, we understand that we are God's dwelling and His residence on earth. Of all the mighty truths in connection with pur redemption, this is the apex of the reality of our redemption; that after God himself recreated us, made us new creatures in Christ and made us His own, then He in the person of the Holy Ghost, makes our bodies His home. The believer through the new birth. No longer does God dwell in the earth-made Holiest of Holies. Our bodies have become His temple.

From scriptures we understand that God's presence was kept enclosed in the Holiest of Holies. No one dare approached there except the priest, and he did so only with great precaution. But through the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus which brought about our identification and oneness with Him, God ow makes His abode in believers. You don't have to feel it, but you have to believe this precious truth. God will never leave you. You have become one with the father, therefore you are His eternal dwelling place.

However, Jesus said, ".......that He (the Holy Spirit) may abide with you FORVER". (John 14:16). The Holy Spirit didn't come as guest to stay for just some few days. He didn't come on a vacation to dwell inside of you for just a short time. He came to dwell in you to be at home with you forever. Glory to God! Now you can walk through life fearlessly as a victor because God lives in you. You are a super human. Hallelujah!

THE POWER OF FASTING AND PRAYER 2 DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE!

"But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting". You may not know what the future holds and that is the more reason why you should hold unto the one who holds the future. God knows what lies ahead of us this year and as we connect with him through prayer and fasting he empowers us to overcome, prevail and win over every battle, challenges and attacks of the enemy that may come our way. From the Scripture above tells us about the response of Jesus to his disciples when they were faced with an impossible situation that has to do with a man whose son was sick. The disciples tried all they could but their efforts to heal the young man was not fruitful. When Jesus showed up, the seemingly impossible situation became possible. Jesus was able to heal the man's son. So the disciples were amazed and they asked Jesus why they couldn't do it.  I declare: May Jesus shows up in your marriage, shows up in your finances, family in the name of Jesus. Where your strength...

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT

Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses (I Timothy 6:12). In the journey of life, battles are not optional but mandatory. Even at birth, a child must be made to cry. At that point, he fights to overcome the force that wants to keep his lungs closed; so as to  live. Henceforth, various battles begin.  When one becomes born again, the dynamics of the fight changes. He will still fight but this time around it is a good fight. The bible calls it the “Good Fight of Faith”. The fight is a good fight; the weaponry is also a unique one, FAITH. So a believer fights the good fight of faith, this fight is  termed a good fight because the end is determined from the beginning. Victory is guaranteed at the end. It is a fight to be won. Halleluyah! It is like watching a replayed boxing match whose winner you already know. The same way, God is not bothered about what fight ...

THE POWER OF FASTING AND PRAYER 1.

In weariness and painfulness, in watching often, in hunger and thirst, in fasting often, in cold and nakedness. 2 Corinthians 11:27 The need for fasting and prayer in our Christian walk as believers cannot be overemphasized. Fasting is indispensable. Ever believer who desires spiritual growth, access to great dimensions of God's glory and power must be committed to consistent lifestyle of fasting and prayer. The spiritual above 2 Corinthians, reveals a powerful secret of Apostle Paul.  The secret of the success and exploit of a man can be traceable to what he does often and not occasionally.  Here, Apostle Paul makes us understand that he gave himself to fasting often. This undoubtedly show us what we must also dedicate ourselves to especially at this time of the year. 1 Corinthians 11:1 says: Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. As we imitate Apostle Paul and follow suit, we will begin to experience the supernatural exploits in our time and day as seen in bible days. ...
