DEALING WITH NEAR-SUCCESS SYNDROME

When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without. (Hosea7:1)

Just when God was about to heal Israel the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered and the wickedness of Samaria was also discovered. The big question is, why were these things not discovered after the healing, why must it be discovered at the set time of their breakthrough. This has been the experience of many today. There are people under the attack of near- success syndrome. The spirit that attacks progress and breakthroughs. It is a spirit that has stopped many from from eating the fruit of their labour. The children of Israel were so close to their healing when all of a sudden the unexpected happened. These are time sensitive attacks.

This was what David meant in (Psalm59:3);"see how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, Lord"). They lie in wait for that moment you are about to get the reward and harvest of your toil, then they attack. I remember the story of a young man while in the medical school was doing very well, graduated as the best medical student. Just within 24 hours after graduation from medical school, was inflicted with madness and all plans to enable him regain his sanity proved abortive and he died in the process. Many weddings have been cancelled due to this attack, many great destinies have been truncated due to this spirit. Today I decree that your freedom has come in Jesus name Amen. You must possess your possessions; you will finish that which you have started in Jesus name Amen.

FURTHER STUDY: Nahum 1:9, Psalm 7:9

PRAYER:
1. Every power fighting my next level is silenced now in Jesus name.
2. I take authority against every power assigned to stop me at the point of breakthrough in Jesus name.
I reign over every resisting force against my progress and advancement in Jesus name Amen.

THE POWER OF FASTING AND PRAYER 2 DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE!

"But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting". You may not know what the future holds and that is the more reason why you should hold unto the one who holds the future. God knows what lies ahead of us this year and as we connect with him through prayer and fasting he empowers us to overcome, prevail and win over every battle, challenges and attacks of the enemy that may come our way. From the Scripture above tells us about the response of Jesus to his disciples when they were faced with an impossible situation that has to do with a man whose son was sick. The disciples tried all they could but their efforts to heal the young man was not fruitful. When Jesus showed up, the seemingly impossible situation became possible. Jesus was able to heal the man's son. So the disciples were amazed and they asked Jesus why they couldn't do it.  I declare: May Jesus shows up in your marriage, shows up in your finances, family in the name of Jesus. Where your strength...

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT

Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses (I Timothy 6:12). In the journey of life, battles are not optional but mandatory. Even at birth, a child must be made to cry. At that point, he fights to overcome the force that wants to keep his lungs closed; so as to  live. Henceforth, various battles begin.  When one becomes born again, the dynamics of the fight changes. He will still fight but this time around it is a good fight. The bible calls it the “Good Fight of Faith”. The fight is a good fight; the weaponry is also a unique one, FAITH. So a believer fights the good fight of faith, this fight is  termed a good fight because the end is determined from the beginning. Victory is guaranteed at the end. It is a fight to be won. Halleluyah! It is like watching a replayed boxing match whose winner you already know. The same way, God is not bothered about what fight ...

THE POWER OF FASTING AND PRAYER 1.

In weariness and painfulness, in watching often, in hunger and thirst, in fasting often, in cold and nakedness. 2 Corinthians 11:27 The need for fasting and prayer in our Christian walk as believers cannot be overemphasized. Fasting is indispensable. Ever believer who desires spiritual growth, access to great dimensions of God's glory and power must be committed to consistent lifestyle of fasting and prayer. The spiritual above 2 Corinthians, reveals a powerful secret of Apostle Paul.  The secret of the success and exploit of a man can be traceable to what he does often and not occasionally.  Here, Apostle Paul makes us understand that he gave himself to fasting often. This undoubtedly show us what we must also dedicate ourselves to especially at this time of the year. 1 Corinthians 11:1 says: Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. As we imitate Apostle Paul and follow suit, we will begin to experience the supernatural exploits in our time and day as seen in bible days. ...
