THE POWER OF PATIENCE.

But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my saviour; my God will hear me (Micah 7:7).

One of the characteristics of a matured believer is in his or her ability to patiently wait on God for his intervention even in the midst of fierce oppositions and challenges.

From the anchor scripture, we see the prophet making this his personal choice- “But as for me”. He was intentional about it. You see, in life, you have to understand that following the crowd always can make you miss out on God’s plan for your life. There are decisions you have to make of which other people may never support or understand, because you desire to please God with your life and not man. Others may choose to cut corners, seek for short cuts which will ultimately cut them short. Some cheat their way through due to impatience, pressure to fit in, and low self-esteem. As believers, our response to life ought to be different.

Prophet Micah said “I wait in hope for the LORD” do you know that, how you wait can affect what you get? Many wait in complaints, depression, lamentation and in hopelessness. But we are admonished today to wait in hope. How do we wait in Hope?

1. To Wait Expectantly: Psalms 130:5 says, "I WAIT FOR THE LORD, MY SOUL WAITS, AND IN HIS WORD I PUT MY HOPE”, That means wait with expectation. Focus on God’s promises and not on your challenges.

2. To Wait With Thanksgiving. Don’t pollute your waiting time with complaints. Romans 8:25 (MSG) says: but the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy. Be joyful and thankful through the process. God is making you larger. Rom. 4:20 Abraham waited glorifying God for his promises.

There is much power in patiently waiting on God for His plans and purpose to manifest in our lives. Wait and you will see His glory today.

Job 14:14 If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait for my renewal to come.

Proverbs 14:29 A patience man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly.

Show me a man of great understanding and I will show you a patience man. Beloved, Christianity is not a short cut to greatness but a sure cut. Never avoid the process because the making process always precedes the delivery and manifestation period.

Prayer
1. Oh Lord I receive the grace to wait patiently on your divine timing for my life in Jesus name.
2. I come against any form of impatience, greed and lust of the eyes in Jesus name.
3. I receive the grace to stand firm in patience on your word at all times in Jesus name.
God bless you. You can share, like and comments on the post. I await your testimonies in Jesus name.

LISTEN TO GODS' VOICE TODAY

"Today if you hear God’s voice speaking to you, do not harden your hearts against Him, as the people of Israel did when they rebelled against Him in the desert.” (Hebrew 3:15). God speaks to his creation at all times. As we read the bible we see instances where God spoke to unbelievers, example; Saul,  Nebuchadnezzar etc. Jesus spoke to the wind and it obeyed him, He also spoke to the fig tree. How much more you his child. It is an error for you to say you can’t hear his voice.  Jesus speaking in..…John 10:27 said; “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”  As Gods' children, we have the capacity and the ability to hear His voice. But the challenge is; a lot of us do not pay attention and listen to what God is saying. Probably because we are waiting to have the Saul’s encounter of a voice speaking from heaven (Act 9:4). God speaks to us in our spirit with a small still voice. Prophet Elijah had an encounter with this voice… II Kings 19:12 -13 “...and after

DON'T BE AFRAID OF THEIR THREAT

But that it spreads no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. Acts 4:17 There are people who live relatively free from persecution even though they may have experienced some mockery, ridicule or ostracism because of their beliefs. One thing we must never do is to fear punishment or death, although some Christians elsewhere in the world are killed for their faith. From the scriptural text, we noticed that Peter and John were threatened for proclaiming the gospel, but here is their response in Acts 4:20; "Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than Him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard". (NLT) Our goal as believers is to become unshakable in our faith. Peter and John didn't flinch from their responsibility to proclaim salvation in Jesus name even in the face of imprisonment and threats. Yet, in reading this account, we may wonder how we could ever endure persecutio

THE JOY OF SERVING GOD

And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD”. - Joshua 24:15 Joshua certainly understood how joyful it was to serve the LORD. So many do not understand the benefits of serving the LORD. Joshua refused to follow the opinions of the majority of the people but made it his personal decision to serve the Lord with his household. Serving the Lord has to be a personal decision you make with God. Even when others refuse to yield themselves to the work of God because of their ignorance of the blessings of service, you would joyfully make yourself a vessel that God can use at all times because you have understanding of God’s blessings. Few reasons why many do not serve the Lord: 1. They think they don’t have the time. 2. They will do it later. 3. T
